Residence Inn by Marriott Rockford

Nice place to stay in Rockford, close to Interstate, restaurants and shopping. We travel with my elderly in-laws to this location every year to visit with their family. We try and get the 2 bedroom suite with the handicap bathroom on the first floor. This year the room was not booked properly online ahead of time, and the accessible room was not available. Jen was working the desk on the evening shift was extremely nice and helpful. She went the extra mile for us to get into the room we needed the next day. Last year my mother in-law lost a ring in the room. On our way home the next day we received a phone call saying that the ring was found. The only negative is that the rooms are getting somewhat out dated. With outstanding customer service from employees like Jen, we will keep coming back!

Residence Inn: Grounds a bit tired, and some wear and tear noticeable. Check-in service was outstandingly friendly. The fitness center is surprisingly tiny. Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall impression is positive, thanks to the genuinely friendly service.

We really liked this hotel, with the complete kitchen, soft bed & location near a lot of store/restaurant's nearby. The pool water was warm, the gym was small. The housekeeping was every other day & the breakfast included was delicious . The receptionist was nice & overall I heard others staying there, that "this was the Best hotel they have stayed at"!

A friend and I had business in town so we stayed in a suite: 2 very comfortable bedrooms with a spacious shared common area and kitchenette. Although the rooms were clean there was a sense of the room decor being tired (cracked tiles in the kitchen and worn chairs with covers at the dining room table); However, the absolutely WONDERFUL staff more than made up for it. Each and every person working there was friendly, kind, helpful. The Breakfast in the more was well presented and had enough of a selection to satisfy all.

We attended special Olympics ~ great location! Front desk was amazing. Great restaurants within walking distance!

We stayed at this Residence Inn for a weekend sports tournament in Loves Park and found it to meet our needs. It is an older property that could use some refreshment but it provides all the essentials: clean and comfortable bed, small free breakfast, lobby area for the players to hang out and laundry machines for washing uniforms. This property does not have a resort or vacation feel but it is sufficient for a sports weekend stay.

The rooms are very nice all except for the beds. The beds set to low to the floor and they are way to soft. I woke up both days hurting from it and didn't sleep very well either.

We’re spending an evening here with our entire 8U football team the night before a football game. The staff is absolutely fantastic. Our team took over the pool and the lobby, Wendell and Dionna (not sure if that’s spelled correctly) were phenomenal hosts and extremely attentive, both going out of their way to ensure everyone was comfortable and taken care of. Rooms are spacious and clean, the entire hotel is very welcoming. I’d recommend the hotel as it is, but if I could have a Wendell and Dionna at every hotel I stay at, that would make the best stay every time. Give those two a raise…they’re exceptional.
